Project Description
Students learn about their own culture and share it with others.
Do you know your local culture? Can you explain it to someone else?
In many places, local culture is disappearing because young people don’t understand its value. If they don’t know why it’s important, they can’t feel proud of it.
We need to teach children how special their culture is and why it should be passed on. This is a common issue around the world.
We encourage students to record their local culture — through stories, photos, or videos — and share it on our website to help preserve it for the future.

Project Phases:
The skills and experiences which students learn through this project will help them to live in the borderless world. Students will have a chance to research, consider, and make a presentation about their local culture. They can experience knowing themselves (their own culture) and show it to others. The experience and skills they getthrough this project will be important, or even necessary to live in the world as global citizens. Secondly, the research will be open to the world through the internet. The information which students gathered (such as pictures or movies) will be kept on our website. Therefore, everyone can reach local cultures easily and the website can have a role of “Data Bank”of local cultures from all over the world.
