Project Description:

The project actively supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:

Goal 4: Quality Education – by promoting inclusive and intercultural learning experiences;

Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – by encouraging respect, empathy, and peaceful global connections;

Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals – by building international school collaborations that strengthen educational and cultural ties.

Through this meaningful exchange, students gain not only cultural knowledge but also the values of empathy, tolerance, and global unity.

Project Phases:

Phase 1: Planning & Partner Matching

Duration: 2 weeks

Main Activities:
Introduce the project to students and staff
Find and confirm a partner school from another country
Set project goals, timeline, and communication methods
Obtain any necessary permissions from school leadership and parents

Outcome:
Schools are partnered and ready to begin collaboration

Phase 2: Research & Cultural Preparation

-Duration: 3–4 weeks

Main Activities:
Students research their own culture: traditions, clothing, food, language, landmarks, and customs
Select meaningful items to include in the cultural package (e.g., postcards, crafts, photos, brochures, small souvenirs)
Write letters or short texts in English explaining the contents

Outcome:
A well-prepared cultural package representing the students’ local identity

Phase 3: Exchange & Reflection

Duration: 2–3 weeks (depends on shipping and school schedules)

Main Activities:
Send and receive cultural packages
Unbox and explore the partner school’s package
Reflect through class discussions, presentations, or writing activities (e.g., compare cultures, favorite item, what they learned)

Outcome:
Students gain intercultural awareness and reflect on global connections

Phase 4: Final Presentation & Celebration

Duration: 1–2 weeks

Main Activities:
Prepare a project summary or presentation (can be a poster, video, slideshow, or school display)
Share experiences with the school community (e.g., parents, other classes)
Celebrate participation and award certificates

Outcome:
Students showcase their learning and develop presentation and reflection skills
